a few more drops of honey...

Here are a tantalising two tracks from the elusive Honey Ltd. album mentioned in my last post.
Brilliant music (i.e. intelligent and luminous), it just makes me want to hear the full album so much more!
The Warrior has a dark anti-war message wrapped in pure harmonic sunshine. Remarkable to think these babes toured Vietnam for the US troops whilst expressing these sentiments!

on stage in 'Nam, December 1968

These slightly murky examples are from the Boyd Rice compilation "Music for Pussycats" and were mastered from worn vinyl.
I've cleaned them just enough to get rid of the snap, crackle & pop.

I've managed to track down the complete Honey Ltd. Album. Supposedly, it was released in Japan on CD, on a girl group various artist compilation. I found someone in Japan to send me a copy, sound quality is pretty good. I'd love for someone to have or find copies of the LPs Sanford Clark "Return of the Fool", Virgil Warner & Suzi jane Hokum "S/T", Aggregation
"Mind Odyssey" and Rabbitt "Rabbitt 1". Thanks! Enjoy the Honey Ltd!

thanks again Hunter for finding this lost treasure!!!
There seems to be a problem with the archive however, I've downloaded several times and it always hangs when expanding the second track... I've tried various archive recovery utilities and tracks 2,3&4 seem to be kaput.

anyone else having this problem?

Thanks for the pointer, benito x, and more importantly, thanks for this incredible trove of Hazlewood albums and related ephemera. It's provided me with hours upon hours of great listening!

Did the rest of that Shacklefords Sing album ever turn up?

Thanks for the album, Hunter.
I currently live in London, UK, but I'm originally from Denmark. I have the Virgil Warner & Suzi Jane HokOm LP & the Sanford Clark "Return of the fool" LP back in Denmark. I should get access to them in March or so, if you want me to record them and put them up. On my computer here, I do, however, have the two only tracks from the Virgil Warner & Suzi Jane Hokom LP that I find to be of any quality, if you would like me to put them up.
I cannot overstate how much I like these two songs, and I would say that those two versions are among the best songs I've ever heard!
It's "Lady bird" and "Summer wine".
