limited honeys

here’s a promotional single from Honey Ltd. an all-girl group that recorded on Lee’s label LHI. There’s an excellent and detailed article on this group's history at Perfect Sound Forever. You can find photos and more material here.

Note for completists!
Now included in the zip file are both sides of this single:-
with
Lee Hazlewood's spoken intro (A-side),
and without it (B-side):

Louie, Louie [96kbps mono LHI-1216]

A self-titled album was apparently recorded and pressed but remains frustratingly elusive — even to the group members themselves!
If anyone has access to this please feel free to make it available!

Thanks to Hunter, the album by subsequent band Eve: Take It and Smile is available in the comments, along with more goodies!

I bet Lee Hazlewood spent the whole album's budget paying those girls to hang out with him for the picture.

I've got the Eve album transferred from vinyl. It's pretty amazing. How can I give it to you? I also have the Lee produced LHI LP Surprise Package, I still have to transfer it from vinyl though. Thank you so much for making "A House Safe For Tigers" and other rare Swedish releases available!!! Have you heard the Ronnie Dove produced 45 "In Some Time"? It was penned and produced by Lee, it's amazing, one of Lee's best songs. Thanks again for sharing all the great music.

Hunter!
Fantastic!
Whatever you can share would be very much appreciated by all!
Best would be to upload them as a zip or rar archive to one of the free file-sharing servers like axifile or megaupload and post the link here or send it in an email to benitoXx"at"gmail.com.
I'm very happy that this blog is attracting such rare contributions, its becoming a unique resource for this unique and neglected music...

Here is the Eve - Take It and Smile LP. Enjoy! This is great stuff. Someone should put together an LHI box set that compiles all this rare stuff! If anyone has the single of Lee and Suzi Jane Hokum "Califia/Nobody Like You", please post it, i've been wanting to hear it forever. Thanks!

Here is the 1968 Hazlewood penned/produced Ronnie Dove track "In Some Time" I think it's one of Hazlewood's great compositions. I only wish he would've sang it. It's truly a lost gem. Let's compile an LHI box set!!

BTW, another LH-produced album can be found here:

It's dreamy folk; I like this album a lot.

I've found a Lee produced track "Invisible People" by Hamilton Streetcar, issued on LHI 45. I'm dying to hear the full Honey Ltd LP, hopefully someone has it!! Does anyone have any other Hazlewood wants or LHI wants?
